Why I'm standing

I do not see a problem with BOPRC, but with extensive experience in business, community and governance, I am now well-prepared to represent the Bay of Plenty as a regional councillor. I have gained experience, insight and dedication needed to serve. I believe it is time for me to bring new ideas and skills to the table and help shape a sustainable, vibrant Bay of Plenty that we can all be immensely proud of.

About me

I am passionate about my community and have lived in the Bay of Plenty my entire life. I have run my own software company for the past 31 years, honing my problem-solving skills and embracing technology with an analytical, results-driven mindset. I have governance and community experience including serving as a board member and secretary for Western Bay of Plenty Neighbourhood Support and chair of the Pyes Pā Community Hall, dedicated to meaningful local outcomes.

My priorities
  1. Build climate resilience with effective climate adaptation practices and emergency management.
  2. Restore environmental ecosystems, coastal wetlands and create urban green spaces and parks.
  3. Develop growth infrastructure with regional deals and forge long term partnerships for investment.
