Why I'm standing

Buller is a wonderful place to live. We need to keep it that way and look for ways to make it even better while acknowledging there are challenges along the way.

About me

I am deeply embedded in the Buller community having lived in Waimangaroa, Karamea, Charleston and now Westport. I have participated, in various ways, in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities in our community. I have always taken a strong interest in BDC affairs and have sat in on many of the council meetings over the past few years. I believe I have the ability and knowledge to make a positive difference.

My priorities
  1. Bring the rates review to a conclusion. Our current rating system is deeply flawed and unfair.
  2. Implement a universal funding system for rubbish collection which minimises overall costs.
  3. Work through LGNZ to promote a bipartisan approach to infrastructure management and development.
