Cambridge Community Board

Cambridge Subdivision
The Cambridge Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Waipa District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of seven members: five members elected by voters, including Four members from your area, and two members from the Waipa District council. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Cambridge Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I am running for election because I believe that young people need someone who has been in their shoes. I have recently been through school and study and have come out the other side ready to start a career. I also want to bring youth in and make them a part of the system because, in the end, they will inherit it in the future.

About me

I have been in politics for a long time since 2010 and since being in school. I have learnt that you bring people with you, you listen, you find common ground and you work together for the common interest.

My priorities
  1. Establish a youth advisory group for the Cambridge community to enable youth to take part.
  2. Tackle cost of living by looking at the Cambridge budget and see where support can be provided.
  3. Support and boost local people including businesses, artists, creators and entrepreneurs.
