Why I'm standing

I am running because I have lived here all my life, love our region and want to ensure it thrives for future generations. I am concerned about the pressures on our environment and communities, and I believe my experience and passion can make a difference. I want to listen to our people, maintain democracy, bridge divides and work collaboratively to protect what makes Canterbury special. My goal is to serve and strengthen our region's heart.

About me

I am a lifelong Cantabrian and bring deep community ties and a commitment to fairness and collaboration. I have experience in dealing with local organisations which has honed my ability to listen and unite diverse voices. I am driven by integrity, a belief in democratic values and a passion for serving Canterbury's people. My strong communication skills and dedication to inclusive decision-making will ensure I represent our region's needs effectively and responsibly.

My priorities
  1. Change the near-empty bus service at off-peak times to an on-demand service that could save $13 million per year.
  2. Ensure rates affordability by cutting costs to ease cost of living pressures hitting ratepayers hard.
  3. Ensure drinking water and wastewater services meet high standards without unnecessary extra costs.
