Why I'm standing

I'm standing because I care deeply about Southland's future. I've seen how global and local challenges can leave our communities feeling vulnerable, and I want to help ensure decisions are made with honesty, transparency and a focus on resilience. I believe council can do more to earn trust, listen well and prepare for the changes ahead. My motivation is simple: to serve and strengthen the place my family and I call home.

About me

I will make a good representative because I bring honesty, independence and a proven record of working across complex issues. My background as an engineer has taught me to base decisions on evidence and practical solutions, while my years living and raising a family in Southland keep me grounded in community needs. I believe in listening first, working collaboratively and making choices that balance today's needs with the wellbeing of future generations.

My priorities
  1. Strengthen flood protection with nature-based solutions to protect homes and cut future costs.
  2. Improve council transparency and engagement to rebuild trust and involve people in decisions.
  3. Back community-owned renewable energy so savings stay local and strengthen Southland's economy.
