Waiuku Subdivision
The Franklin Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of nine members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. two members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Investigate a passenger ferry service and on-demand shuttles linking smaller suburbs to bus or rail connections.

    Support footpath extensions and repairs to improve pedestrian safety in towns and rural settlements.

  • Increase the usability of recreational spaces by including more walking and cycling opportunities.

    Invest in good long-term roading repairs and increase accountability for previous faults.
