Geraldine Community Board

The Geraldine Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Timaru District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.   • Continue enhancement of Geraldine's natural environment.

    Protect and restore upper catchment water sources and restore lower catchment freshwater environments and groundwater.

    Support biodiversity projects including restoration, pest control and planting, especially sustainable ones.

  • Push for regular waste collection and adequate bins for public use to keep Geraldine tidy and clean for residents and visitors alike.

    Seek establishment of pest control measures relevant to the Geraldine community, such as wasp management.

    Undertake consideration of any proposals put forward by council while keeping the best interests of the community at the forefront.
