Huntly Community Board

The Huntly Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Waikato District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of eight members: six members elected by voters, and two members from the Waikato District Council.  This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Huntly Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I believe Huntly is an amazing town and my desire to be involved on the community board is because I want to serve my people. I see the fruits of our town and want to see it succeed in every aspect and this can be done if we work together.

About me

Although I was not born and raised in Huntly, my family and I purchased our home and established our roots here. I have been involved in the community development and education sector for the last 15 years. I have experience running community outreach programmes, regional exhibitions for Pacific Water, and wastewater experience in secondary and tertiary academic tutoring.

My priorities
  1. Improve lighting on the Tainui Bridge for those who use the footbridge.
  2. Check CCTV cameras and either ensure they are in use or have them calibrated.
