Huntly Community Board

The Huntly Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Waikato District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of eight members: six members elected by voters, and two members from the Waikato District Council.  This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Huntly Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I am running because I am already doing the work from the sidelines—helping local businesses, backing community projects and fixing problems in my skill set. I have learned how council choices affect daily life and how crucial clear communication and follow-through are. I am standing to bring a practical, accountable, people-first approach to the table and to earn trust through action.

About me

I have proudly lived in Huntly for the past four years, after 18 years supporting Ngāruawāhia and Waikato in the computer industry, providing PC and Mac upgrades and e-waste recycling. I have supported causes like the Special Children's Christmas Party and donated computers to those in need.

My priorities
  1. Improve retail sector security and push for retail crime accountability.
  2. Launch an e-waste drop-off initiative and help find solutions in waste cost reduction.
  3. Expand pest-free efforts and explore homelessness solutions.
