Why I'm standing

I am standing for re-election because I think that I have character, experience and skills that this district needs on council. I believe that Kapiti is one of the best places to live because of our people, our environment and our communities. But we have many opportunities to improve. I want to continue to contribute to Kapiti developing to its potential where everyone, especially our most vulnerable, thrives.

About me

I have served the Kapiti community for 3 years as deputy mayor and districtwide councillor. I am experienced in governance through 12 years on school boards including 8 years as chair and 17 years on not for profit boards. I'm a pastor, community advocate, strategic-thinker, and servant leader who displays integrity and empathy. I will listen to people and lead from my learnings to help support and build the best communities I can across Kapiti.

My priorities
  1. Demonstrate effective, stable governance and provide experienced, values-based leadership.
  2. Keep council spending focused on delivering value without waste and returning to five percent affordability rate.
  3. Listen to people and lead from learnings to help support and build a thriving district.
