Kāpiti Coast District Council

Kāpiti Coast Māori Ward
The Kāpiti Coast District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of ten councillors and the mayor. one councillor will be elected from the Kāpiti Coast Māori ward. The other councillors will be elected from other wards or by all voters in the district. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Participate in partnership to find solutions for all of the community's benefit, restructuring Kāpiti Coast District Council to become a unitary council to bring back locally made decisions.

About me

I am an experienced change maker, a facilitator that listens and finds solutions to often complicated situations.

My priorities
  1. Make Kāpiti Coast District Council a unitary council to bring back local decision making for environment and transport.
  2. Make rates affordability a priority through restructuring to become a unitary council to reduce council expenditure.
  3. Make liquor licensing laws a better fit for communities.
