Why I'm standing

I have served as a ward councillor for the past two trienniums, and I am standing again because I believe my skills, experience, and proven track record can continue to benefit both Waikanae and the wider district. I bring a balanced approach, listening carefully to our community while making informed, future-focused decisions. My goal is to ensure growth is well managed, our environment is protected, and our district remains a vibrant, resilient place to live.

About me

I'm a strong, consistent advocate for our community, bringing a pragmatic approach to decision-making shaped by my background in science, compliance, investigations, and auditing. I stand firmly for the values of respect, integrity, honesty, transparency, and inclusiveness. I'm out in the community, listening to people and ensuring their voices are heard. I'm not afraid to stand up and speak out on issues that matter, representing Waikanae with fairness, courage, and a commitment to positive outcomes.

My priorities
  1. Champion a consistent, independent voice for Waikanae by listening to residents.
  2. Guide development to balance growth with infrastructure, affordability and community character.
  3. Ensure rates are fair, affordable and spent wisely to benefit Waikanae residents.
