Why I'm standing

I am running for New Plymouth Council to bring strong, proven leadership focused on efficiency, accountability and protecting property rights. I believe the council must prioritise core services like roads and water, reduce wasteful spending and lower rates. I am committed to supporting local businesses and voluntary groups and working collaboratively to make our district a great place to live.

About me

I will be a good elected representative because I bring real-world leadership and governance experience, a strong commitment to personal responsibility and a clear focus on delivering core services efficiently. I listen, engage respectfully and make decisions based on common sense and community needs. I will stand up for ratepayers, protect property rights and work hard to ensure council remains focused, accountable and effective.

My priorities
  1. Lower rates because residents deserve affordable, sustainable costs without wasteful spending.
  2. Focus on core services like roads, water and waste.
  3. Protect property rights to prevent unnecessary interference with how people use their land or assets.
