Why I'm standing

I love living in St Heliers and want to give back to the Ōrākei community. I want to ensure that good decisions are being made on behalf of our residents, and that projects are properly managed, so our rates money is not being wasted. I'm proud to be standing as part of the ACT Local team because we're committed to a back-to-basics approach that will focus on efficiency and value for money.

About me

I will be bringing over 40 years of technical and business management experience gained in both entrepreneurial and corporate roles. My extensive international experience has given me the skills to understand the needs of diverse communities. I am a born problem solver, and have extensive skills in team building and conflict resolution. My leadership roles in business organisations and senior committees have given me the tools I need to succeed in this role.

My priorities
  1. Focus on fixing the basics like the roads, drains and water infrastructure that locals depend on.
  2. Preserve freedom of choice for transport modes, public or private, and resist anti-car ideology.
  3. Maintain public parks and other facilities to a high standard for all to use and enjoy.
