Paraparaumu Community Board

The Paraparaumu Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kapiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one member from the Kapiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.     Work proactively on the replacement of Paraparaumu Community Centre with a focus on a more multi-use facility for cultural, sports and conferences.

  • Advocate for equitable investment in the upkeep and improvement of local parks, reserves and sports fields across all neighbourhoods.

    Ensure libraries and community halls remain accessible, multi-use hubs that serve as vibrant hearts for neighbourhoods.

    Support and promote local artists, performers and community-led festivals that celebrate Paraparaumu’s unique character and creativity.
