Paraparaumu Community Board

The Paraparaumu Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kapiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one member from the Kapiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Paraparaumu Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

Kāpiti is in my blood and I am keen to play a part in its future. I live work and play here, so am totally invested in the area. Growth is coming and we can optimise it to our benefit. Collaborate, unify, activate!

About me

Decades of governance and commercial experience across multiple areas of business and development. Long-term focus on optimising community projects that deliver multiple benefits to the community that also supplement or negate costs to the council.

My priorities
  1. Learn about the wishes of the Paraparaumu community, formulate a plan and activate it.
  2. Maintain role for Whale Song and develop its way-finding role guiding visitors to the area.
  3. Create a more cultural focus based on the rich history the area has, embedding the Kāpiti story.
