Strong Voice For Our District

| Elected Member of Rangitikei, Chair of Finance Committee

Why I'm standing

I offer experienced leadership as Rangitīkei District Council faces the biggest structural change ever. I want our district to prosper so we are all proud to call it home. I offer a strong local and rural voice. I am community focused and want us all to thrive.

About me

I am local and understand the issues facing our communities. Business skills and financial acumen required, having farmed for the past 35 years. Naturally curious, have completed Institute of Directors, Company Directors Course, AWDT 10-month Escalator Leadership programme and sat on their board. I sat on Wanganui and Northern Wairarapa Beef plus Lamb Farmers Council, now part of Rangitīkei Rural Community Council committee. Served on school boards and various committees. I'm a team player who enjoys working collaboratively to ensure better outcomes.

My priorities
  1. Ensure effective and efficient set up and delivery of Local Water Done Well including Marton water strategy.
  2. Support private and public partnership to get Marton pool open as soon as possible.
  3. Advocate to New Zealand Transport Agency regarding maintenance of the roading network.
