Raumati Community Board

The Raumati Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kapiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one member from the Kapiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Raumati Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I care deeply about the people and place I call home, Raumati South. I will be a committed advocate for Raumati, ensuring your voice is heard and needs addressed. My desire is for Raumati to continue to thrive as a strong, connected, vibrant community that needs transparency and a platform for communities to be seen and heard and where we can uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

About me

My whānau has lived in Kāpiti for many, many generations; I have raised my own tamariki here in Raumati Beach. Through working in governance and in business I will bring the skills to ensure that every voice is heard and that you are truly represented. I have the time and passion to give back as your Raumati Community Board representative.

My priorities
  1. Formalise the role and scope of a Community Board and agree on a common purpose with the council.
  2. Review the proposed EcoReef project which will destroy a beach in Raumati.
  3. Enable more people to participate in Community Board meetings.
