Raumati Community Board

The Raumati Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kapiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one member from the Kapiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Raumati Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I am already involved in the community via RS Repair Cafe, Predator Free Raumati, KUSMT and feel the community board is another way I can be involved in a meaningful way. The new Raumati CB has undertaken supporting some great initiatives and I would like to continue supporting these projects.

About me

I enjoy living in a small community having moved here from Methven in the SI 16 years ago. My late husband was a police constable and I was very involved in community happenings. I have had experience in establishing a new subdivision, building a motel, setting up community events, being very involved in tourism and having children in school and pre-school activities.

My priorities
  1. Continue the work of the previous CB especially what will happen to the old Raumati swimming pool.
  2. Support local groups doing great work in our community.
  3. Listen to the concerns of the community and work with them to have the best outcomes.
