Raumati Community Board

The Raumati Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kapiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one member from the Kapiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Raumati Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I am running for election on my record as a community board member, including helping our community to more effectively engage with the climate change action plan process and my contribution to the review of our community grants programme. If re-elected, I want to ensure the board remains a place where everyone feels welcome, feels heard and where we can come together around important issues for our vibrant community and together make Raumati an even better place to live.

My priorities
  1. Make the board more accessible and more relevant to more of the community.
  2. Find ways to better support key community initiatives.
  3. Ensure the voice of the Raumati community is heard and respected in key council processes and meetings.
