Why I'm standing

I have been on council for two terms and consider that I have gained sufficient knowledge and experience to contribute more effectively. I have built relationships with councillors, staff and iwi to be effective. I am concerned about the rolling back of environmental protections by government, particularly in the freshwater area.

About me

I am a member of the Golden Bay community for 40 years, raised three sons, and am a business owner. I have been a health professional and health manager. I believe that the unique environment and biodiversity here must be protected and the community provided with what it needs to thrive.

My priorities
  1. Keep rates as low as possible while ensuring the provision of new and maintenance of infrastructure.
  2. Build resilience in Golden Bay including communications.
  3. Support community facilities especially the library and establish the bike skills park.
