Why I'm standing

I'm standing for election because Taupō is more than a town—it's home to my family, currently across three generations, and I'm passionate about seeing it thrive. I care about preserving what makes our community special and have the skill set to guide it forward. I believe the values I bring—practicality, fairness, and a focus on people—can help bring common sense solutions that ensure decisions made today support a strong, inclusive and sustainable future for everyone.

About me

I bring extensive experience as a business owner, with strong skills in partnerships, governance and delivering projects that matter. I've founded the Taupo Winter Festival, Pop-Up Cinema Series, chaired a local school PTA, served as a trustee of BayTrust, and established the One Taupō Trust. I listen, build connections, and take practical, decisive action. Guided by strong values, I work to ensure council decisions are thoughtful, effective and benefit community and future generations.

My priorities
  1. Boost local connection through more town-hall style in-person gatherings for real community dialogue.
  2. Ensure responsible spending by using ratepayer funds wisely, prioritising value and efficiency.
  3. Protect and enhance infrastructure by maintaining and improving roads, water and essential services.
