The Upper Harbour Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of six members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I am seeking re-election because I am deeply committed to building a connected, thriving and inclusive Upper Harbour. As deputy chair, I have seen how local decisions shape lives and communities. I bring strategic insight, business expertise, prudent financial management, integrity and a commitment to ensuring our decisions reflect the voices of all our residents, that we invest wisely in infrastructure, the environment and our communities. Let's shape a future we are proud of together.

About me

I have lived locally for 25 years and have the community, business and governance experience, prioritising local needs. Excellent understanding of local government processes, budgets and funding allocations. Experience monitoring progress of local projects to deliver for our communities. Expertise in building relationships with diverse groups across Upper Harbour. Ability to lead and collaborate with other members, staff and stakeholders. Integrity, accountability, cultural competence and a deep commitment to public service.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for affordable rates for struggling families and seniors. Listen and respond to the community.
  2. Prioritise open green space, support volunteers and community facilities in growth areas.
  3. Advocate for safer roads and a frequent, affordable and accessible public transport network.
