Why I'm standing

I am running because the Waikato needs a council that listens and acts for its people. I believe decisions are too often made without real understanding of our communities. I want to bring practical, common-sense thinking to the table and ensure ratepayers' voices are heard. I want to keep the council focused on what matters, use resources wisely and make decisions that strengthen our region for the people who live and work here.

About me

I have strong ties to the Waikato through my work, family and community involvement. As a dairy farmer, I understand hard work, accountability and making every dollar count. I am approachable, straight-talking and committed to representing all voices fairly. My experience in farming and community life gives me the skills to cut through the noise, focus on solutions and work constructively with others to deliver real results for the people of our region.

My priorities
  1. Keep rates at or below inflation so council lives within its means, just like households do.
  2. Oppose all co-governance of freshwater, ensuring decisions are made by elected representatives.
  3. Remove Waikato Regional Council from LGNZ to stop wasting money on irrelevant lobby groups.
