Why I'm standing

I am standing for the Wainuiomata Community Board because I believe in the strength of our people and the power of community-led decision making. I want to bridge the community to council, amplify Wainui's voice and ensure decisions aren't made about us, without us. I want to see an active, engaged board that seeks out and connects with residents, listens, and puts their voices front and centre, helping shape a future together with the community.

About me

I am a proud mum of two and long-time Wainuiomata resident, deeply committed to our community. I bring governance experience, including serving on the Wainuiomata Primary School Board, and strong collaboration skills from working across public, private and community sectors. I have led initiatives like the Te Awakairangi School Stationery Drive and co-chair Love Wainuiomata, amplifying voices and supporting whānau. These experiences equip me to listen, connect and contribute to inclusive, well-grounded decision-making for our community.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for an active, engaged community board that listens and represents residents' voices.
  2. Support sustainable growth and infrastructure planning to meet Wainuiomata's needs.
  3. Champion local business, community groups, events and spaces to strengthen vibrancy and connection.
