Why I'm standing

I'm committed to equity and ensuring Wainuiomata is heard and not overlooked despite Hutt City Council's financial constraints. I have the time, energy, and dedication to be a strong voice for our community. I will work to keep the Community Board visible and accessible to all residents, no matter the size of their concerns. If elected, I will collaborate closely with new board to serve Wainuiomata effectively.

About me

I currently work as an accountant for a charity. Previously I spent 11 years at Hutt City Council. This gives me strong financial, planning and reporting skills, and a solid understanding of how local government works. I'm collaborative by nature and focussed on getting things done. Through service groups like the Lions, I've helped with local events, fundraising and community initiatives that bring people together. I bring experience and a fresh perspective.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for fair investment in Wainuiomata's pool, parks and infrastructure to support growth.
  2. Support inclusive community engagement by making the board more visible and accessible to all.
  3. Push for better public transport and traffic solutions to reduce isolation and improve access.
