Mayor of Waipā
The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. Why I'm standing
I am standing for re-election because I want our district to be a place where we all thrive. With experience, energy, and a lifelong connection with our community, I will continue to lead with purpose and integrity. That means financial prudence without burdening future generations, maintaining excellent services, and planning responsibly for growth. I want to finish the change I have started. I will continue to be a mayor for all of Waipā.

My background in business and law means I bring the skills we need. I've proven I can deliver change. I've built trusted relationships from grassroots to the Beehive – critical to securing Waipā's future. I'm a hardworking, strong strategic thinker with extensive governance experience committed to serving my community.
My priorities
- Reshape and right-size council so it is efficient, responsive to community and fit for the future.
- Strengthen and enhance the financial control model so better strategic financial decisions can be made.
- Strengthen and utilise relationships regionally and nationally for the benefit of the district.
