Te Awamutu and Kihikihi General Ward
The Waipā District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 11 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). three councillors will be elected from the Te Awamutu and Kihikihi ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I am very passionate about promoting and improving our local community infrastructure within financial controls and continuing to improve local civil defence responses.

About me

I am a fifth generation local resident with many years of community service and local knowledge. I am currently serving as patron, life member of Te Awamutu Rugby and Sports Club, core values chairperson and life member of Te Awamutu RSA, and life and founding member of Te Awamutu Motorcycle Club.

My priorities
  1. Continue to promote and work with emergency management and continue as regional representative.
  2. Continue to work on local infrastructure and services to improve Te Awamutu's business capability.
  3. Improve communication and knowledge of Waikato Water Done Well structure and operation.
