Why I'm standing

I am concerned about the current unsustainable financial situation and high rate increases, the disconnect between council and the community and the inability to deliver projects promised in long term plans.

About me

I was born and married in Te Awamutu and am passionate about the town and region. I have been giving back to the community as CEO of Te Awamutu Business Chamber, chairman of Destination Te Awamutu and chairman of Waipa Community Facilities Trust. I have seen firsthand how council decisions have negatively affected the community and believe we deserve better.

My priorities
  1. Spend within finances that are affordable as current spending is unsustainable.
  2. Address disconnection, as community believe council never listens, confirmed by council satisfaction survey.
  3. Improve delivery as council has failed to deliver for Te Awamutu projects promised in their long term plan.
