Why I'm standing

I am running from a place of manaakitanga because I care about people in positions like mine. I live in Philipstown as a young professional, parent and pet owner and understand firsthand the small challenges families and residents face every day. I believe the board does not always reflect people like me, and I want to bring that perspective so our voices are considered and heard.

About me

I will make a good elected representative because I care about our community and understand it from lived experience. I work in education and this has taught me to listen, support and collaborate with empathy. As an Asian New Zealander, I bring fresh perspectives. Completing an Outward Bound course reminded me of the value of connection and resilience. I want to make sure families, young professionals and pet owners are genuinely heard and considered.

My priorities
  1. Improve roads and crossings to keep children, families and pedestrians safe in CBD and Philipstown.
  2. Upgrade water infrastructure to fix low pressure in high-density streets like Madras Street.
  3. Create safe, fenced areas for dogs and kids in high-density neighbourhoods.
