Why I'm standing

I am passionate about Wairoa and deeply invested in our community. I want to see a better and stronger future, strengthen the economy and attract people to our district. I will be a voice for businesses and a strong advocate for our whole community. Through the roles I've held in the community I've connected with people from all walks of life, giving me a diverse insight into the opportunities and challenges we face.

About me

Running a business has taught me to make every cent count, think creatively, and go the extra mile. I understand the value of wise spending and the importance of forward planning. I'm a life learner and learn by questioning. My natural tendency is to awhi, I am family focused and community driven. I am enthusiastic, innovative and think outside the box. I am an actioner, and want to reinvigorate our collective sense of pride.

My priorities
  1. Attract industry, address issues like earthquake strengthening and build resilient infrastructure.
  2. Support primary industry at every part of the supply chain.
  3. Streamline services, support business sustainability and connectivity.
