Why I'm standing

I want to have influence in the making of key policies to protect our environment, our rangatira, our housing, transport, education, elderly, health, growth, art and culture, policies that will allow our communities to be resilient, healthy, active and caring towards each other, where the people feel valued.

About me

I strive to be a good listener. I believe the art of listening once understood allows one to take your concerns to the table of governance to have influence in decision making. I have resilience and determination without being stubborn or closed, which being in my own business and raising three young adults has taught me. These are assets I can share to enable your thoughts and values to get to the council table and be heard.

My priorities
  1. Ensure the infrastructure upgrade work protects our great lakes, as current degradation is unsustainable.
  2. Integrate alternative power sources into the grid and encourage smaller community-generated options.
  3. Build public transport systems between communities to reduce cars off the road and open up green spaces.
