Why I'm standing

I'm standing because Wellington needs leadership that governs on behalf of the people not governed by the bureaucracy, tackles housing and cost-of-living with honesty and action. I want my kids and yours to afford a home here. I've fought to keep our airport in public hands, opposed corporate handouts like the Reading Cinema deal, voted against the $150 million Town Hall cost blowout, defended libraries, community facilities and swimming pools, and backed more affordable housing.

About me

I came to New Zealand 17 years ago. Together with my wife I have had three kids and built a small business. My kids play football for IBU and I could not be prouder of them. But things weren't always easy. When I first arrived and when I studied for my Masters degree, I worked long hours for low pay. I will never forget this experience and it informs my thinking every day at Council.

My priorities
  1. Encourage more affordable housing.
  2. Rebuild trust in council.
  3. Protect strategic assets and community facilities.
