Why I'm standing

I'm running to ensure council makes quality long-term decisions that have the best interests of Wellington at heart. For decades council has had a short-term view around infrastructure investment and other priorities which has resulted in a broken water network, run down community facilities and unaffordable housing. I believe we can turn this situation around but it takes dedicated councillors such as myself to make it happen.

About me

As an existing councillor I have been a fierce and visible advocate across the Takapū Ward. This area is my home and I want to see it thrive. I meet regularly with residents, community organisations and council staff to ensure that problems in our ward are on the radar of council and addressed as promptly as possible. It's my role to help and that's exactly what I have been and will continue to do.

My priorities
  1. Get the Grenada Sports Park upgrade completed.
  2. Develop Johnsonville through the Johnsonville Mall action plan which I passed at council.
  3. Get Wellington building to make home ownership and renting affordable in our city.
