Takapu/Northern General Ward
The Wellington City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 15 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the city). three councillors will be elected from the Takapū/Northern ward. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. I am a first term councillor and would like to continue my work engaging and representing the northern ward community.

About me

I am a lifelong resident of the northern suburbs, I bring over 25 years of financial and governance experience as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director. My commitment to public service is rooted in my deep local ties and passion for improving the lives of residents.

My priorities
  1. Value for rates and plan for growth by focusing on financial planning, development and infrastructure.
  2. Deliver more social and emergency housing and partner with developers to provide housing for Wellington.
  3. Build strong and safe communities through an inner city safety plan that supports people and invest in the arts sectors.
