Why I'm standing

This city is our home, and I want everyone to enjoy quality of life and feel like we're working together to make it better. Council facilities support everyone no matter your income. Council infrastructure needs to function well and be cost effective. Our water, our community facilities and our housing are all below par. We need strong governance and better financial management to fix this, and to prevent more cost blowouts on projects.

About me

I have governance, executive and management experience from my work in government departments, the Beehive and NGOs. I've recently worked at Christchurch City Council as their principal advisor climate change, so I understand how Council works behind the scenes. I also have expertise in policy and economics. I've worked inside three coalition governments getting daily agreement on issues across party lines. My skill set will ensure I can make a difference on Council.

My priorities
  1. Fix water infrastructure – no-one wants sewage flowing in our streets, streams and rivers.
  2. Invest in community facilities and not cut hours to services.
  3. Prepare for climate change to prevent damage from future extreme weather events.
