Why I'm standing
I am a fifth generation local living in Whangārei with my extended family and I care deeply about those who live here. I have a PhD in community development, masters in counselling, and teaching qualifications. I have established businesses and community facilities, many in Whangārei. I have 30 plus years in governance.
About me
I have spent my life working for those who have struggles in Whangārei and elsewhere. I have set up Food Rescue, Climate Action Taitokerau, Mothers Moving Mountains 'Mumma Moving Maunga' and other self-help and community groups.
My priorities
- Build pensioner housing, adapt to and mitigate climate change and support small business and a vibrant city.
- Adapt to and mitigate climate change.
- Support small business and engender a vibrant creative city.
