Why I'm standing

Governance is not a job, career or attention seeking role for me, it is a vocation. I am now semi-retired from my own business with 20 plus years' governance experience behind me, I have the skills, time and energy to represent Whanagrei residents and ratepayers in a way that will improve their quality of life and well-being in Whangārei. I now desire to give back to Whangarei.

About me

I served 13 years on the Kamo Home and Village Board, contributing to key development projects, and have been active in church and community roles. My background in teaching, music, and sport has shown me how vital arts, recreation, and connectivity are to our district's social and economic health. Because of my faith, experience, and commitment, I would like to think that I will bring wisdom and discernment to Council.

My priorities
  1. Create a vibrant, attractive, thriving, equitable and environmentally friendly district.
  2. Build a highly resilient infrastructure.
  3. Develop very effective connectedness and strategies linked to growth and sustainability.
