Why I'm standing

With our current growth and the major reforms to local government coming, I believe it is important to have as much diversity at the table as possible. And that we need to ensure that everyone is included in this journey. Ratepayer or renter, urban or rural, young or old. We all need to work together for the betterment of Central Otago.

About me

My background is in social services. This has given me first-hand experience of the needs within our community. From the need for housing to the importance of connection within a community. I have also been involved in the governance of a number of charities locally including chairing the youth trust for the past 2.5 years, and one nationally. I also bring with me a strong understanding of the legislative process from other past roles.

My priorities
  1. Work towards affordable housing, to locals and make Central Otago more attractive to young people.
  2. Speaking up for everyone. With growth and reform, it is fundamental that all voices are heard.
  3. Protect the environment with practical, realistic, cost effective policy for future generations.
