Kāpiti Coast Constituency
The Greater Wellington Regional Council makes decisions about managing resources in the region, such as air, water, soil and the coastline. It also carries out plant and pest control, helps prepare for natural disasters, and is involved in regional transport. The council is made up of 13 councillors. Councillors are elected to represent constituencies (areas in the region). One councillor will be elected from the Kāpiti Coast constituency. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.     Deliver our climate response initiatives, supports local businesses and tourism through flood protections and public transport.

  • Advocate for Kāpiti to get our fair share of support from WellingtonNZ, our regional economic development and tourism agency.

    Push Government to fund extension of rail to Ōtaki and beyond, to support businesses on old State Highway 1 with new customers once the expressway opens

    Regularly meet with the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Kotahitanga Board, Kāpiti Economic Development Association and others to hear their needs and support them.
