Greater Wellington Regional Council

Kāpiti Coast Constituency
The Greater Wellington Regional Council makes decisions about managing resources in the region, such as air, water, soil and the coastline. It also carries out plant and pest control, helps prepare for natural disasters, and is involved in regional transport. The council is made up of 13 councillors. Councillors are elected to represent constituencies (areas in the region). One councillor will be elected from the Kāpiti Coast constituency. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.     Deliver as proposed the Kāpiti Whaitua under a Treaty House model.

    Continue my weekly column in the Kāpiti News to assist with accountability back to my community and transparency of my voting record.

  • Meet regularly with community groups, mana whenua, the district council and others to hear Kāpiti's views so I can better advocate for them.

    Run regular drop-in sessions at markets, cafes and community spaces so people can bring their issues they would like me to address.

    Push for Greater Wellington Regional Council to become a Living Wage accredited council so our staff can live good lives.
