Why I'm standing

I love living in Waihi – it is a very special town and I am very proud to call it home. I would like others to see what a wonderful place it is and raise our profile so we attract new businesses and families. I now have both the time and the skills to make a contribution to ensure our community thrives.

About me

I am self-employed with a long history of governance experience as a trustee on school, community and national boards. I have a wide range of work experience, from regional and national newspaper editor, publisher, manager of a community preschool, sales and marketing, and am currently involved in the arts sector. I believe in supporting others, including communities, to achieve their full potential.

My priorities
  1. Improve the social and economic wellbeing of our community.
  2. Provide vibrant and creative spaces that reflect the diversity of our community.
  3. Ensure resources are managed sustainably whilst protecting our environment.
