Why I'm standing

I have always wanted to be involved in representing my hometown's interests and helping to shape a bright and sustainable future. I am running for election because I am at a stage in my life where I am able to commit the necessary time and energy to the role, and I believe I have the necessary skills and experience to truly represent the community's voice and to get things done.

About me

Since being raised in Waihi, I have gained experience across the government sector, delivering projects and leading large groups through change. Now back at home, the skills I have gathered throughout my career will help me to be an effective and efficient member of the local council while bringing a modern governance approach. I have a master's degree in business, and over a decade of experience delivering change.

My priorities
  1. Increase participation by providing drop-in forums for locals to interact with representatives.
  2. Limit rates increases to inflation for 2023/24 to reduce the impact on ratepayers.
  3. Remove the need for paid plastic council rubbish bags.
