Why I'm standing

I've been a councillor for two terms and really enjoy representing local communities and advocating on behalf of the Waihi ward, treating my role as a full-time job. I would continue to use the experience and knowledge I've gained to represent Waihi as best I can, ensuring concerns and ideas are heard, getting us through the various reforms coming our way, and building stronger communities here in the Waihi area and Hauraki District.

About me

We have brought our family up here in Waihi and we're very connected to our community. I'm also a member of the Waihi Community Forum, Grey Power, The Lions Club of Waihi, and co-founder and Chair of Keep Waihi Beautiful. At council, I am the Waihi Ward Chair and Chair Manaaki Toiora – Council's Economic and Social Strategy Committee. I'm a trained Hearings Commissioner and have been involved in several council working parties.

My priorities
  1. Committing to good, transparent community representation for the residents of Waihi and Hauraki.
  2. Improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of all our communities.
  3. Using my experience to help navigate us through huge reforms coming our way from central government.
