Why I'm standing

As a qualified mechanical engineer and after working for nearly 30 years building successful businesses both here and in Asia I wanted to give something back to my community. For nearly a decade, my wife Amy and our two youngest children who attend local schools, have lived in Long Bay. I am involved Long Bay Baptist Church and Browns Bay Rotary. I was inundated with requests to help a range of local groups.

About me

I believe I will make a good elected representative because I am inclusive and care about the Bays community that I want to serve. For years I have established strong community links with local Bays groups. I have been a business mentor for BMNZ, fundraising events for Harbour Hospice, on board of the Long Bay Residents Association, advise the Browns Bay Business Association and help North Harbour Community Patrol recruit Chinese volunteers.

My priorities
  1. Support expansion of North Harbour Community Patrol to address crime prevention and improve safety.
  2. Fund programs to promote school walking bus. It is a small but practical way to ease congestion.
  3. Work to establish and funding for a Long Bay community hall. Long bay has over 3000 new houses.
