Why I'm standing

I am running for the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board because I believe that the East Coast Bays is at a critical point where the coastal feel and beaches that we are all privileged to enjoy is at risk. I want to be part of ensuring that the coastal feel and environment is always considered in the future decisions and protections are put in place to protect our environment.

About me

I have called the East Coast Bays home my whole life. I currently work as a quantity surveyor and have worked on a number of major housing and school projects throughout the East Coast Bays and North Shore. This will ensure that I understand how much construction projects actually cost and can advocate for best value for money. I have been on the Long Bay Okura Great Park Society Committee for the past five years.

My priorities
  1. Preserve our coastal lifestyle for our kids through protecting our beaches and Hauraki Gulf.
  2. Value for money through decision making which considers long term implications and costs.
  3. Ensure that the community feel safe in our shopping centers, parks, accessways and beaches.
