Why I'm standing

I believe we are at the point in time when hard decisions need to be made to ensure our future, particularly in terms of climate action and building strong, sustainable and safe communities. Many programmes we have developed to address these issues are at a conceptual stage or at the early stages of implementation. I would like to see them through to the next stages and able to help make a real difference.

About me

I know I have a lot to offer in terms of experience and effective advocacy, sound knowledge of the local area and its people and organisations. I also have an excellent understanding of Auckland Council and its policies and framework. I have a track record of identifying concerns and constructively looking for workable solutions, across council and its various, council-controlled organisations to address them. I believe institutional knowledge should never be underestimated!

My priorities
  1. Environment – extend coverage of our Restore Hand B volunteers to meet pest-free and restoration targets.
  2. Transport – advocating for more reliable and frequent services to support and grow our Northern Busway.
  3. Community development – build strong, safe communities working with local groups like Community Patrol.
