Why I'm standing

As a mum and business owner I place great value in local decision making. My decision to stand for re-election is driven by a passion for effective community leadership, tangible outcomes, and greater diversity. To me, this role is about listening, striving to deliver the best for our community, and ensuring public confidence in the decisions being made on their behalf. I'm offering my skillset to help shape a healthy environment and resilient communities.

About me

I work hard, listen, seek answers and speak up when it matters. I bring 20+ years' professional experience in resource management and planning across a variety of sectors, backed with tertiary qualifications. I'm results focused with a philosophy based on collaboration and community partnership. In my first council term I championed, rallied support and delivered initiatives including new community funds for climate action and biodiversity; increased resources for environmental education; and improvements to Tōtara Reserve.

My priorities
  1. Native biodiversity and freshwater ecosystems – for their intrinsic value and they sustain us.
  2. Climate action – mitigation and adaption to build community resilience and protect our environment.
  3. Community empowerment – to achieve our goals together through partnership, collaboration and support.
