Why I'm standing

I have three grandchildren living in Levin, I want them to live in a safe and healthy environment and to know that their grandfather made the best effort he could to ensure that environment.

About me

My early career in the power supply industry, working to build, and control maintain public supply networks. Being the union delegate for about 150 diverse staff through the 1990s taught me some negotiating skills. Then I retained achieving a Bachelor of Health Science working for local councils. These duties ran from Port Liason Officer, sewerage spill clean up, food safety monitoring, noise monitoring, ensuring Resource Management Act compliance checking of new businesses, liquor license monitoring, offensive trades.

My priorities
  1. Think global and act local, assist the council to take all reasonable steps to reduce emissions.
  2. Landfill waste disposal must be eliminated, reuse, repurpose and recycle must be greatly expanded.
  3. Continue to adapt to the changing needs of the people of Horowhenua.
