Why I'm standing

I grew up in Levin and returned to raise my family here. I think that the Horowhenua is a great district with gorgeous beaches and hills, and fantastic communities. I want to ensure that it continues to grow to be a great place for children and families, with local community facilities that meet our needs. We need better services, more opportunities for young people and to manage upcoming threats such as climate change.

About me

I have a strong connection to the Horowhenua and believe it is a great place to live. My priorities are about creating an inclusive, environmentally sustainable, family friendly community with an exciting and positive business environment. My background is in community and not-for-profit organisations working with diverse people to develop strong consensus decisions all can support. I will listen, investigate, weigh all options and seek the best way forward for the Horowhenua.

My priorities
  1. Increase effective, low-cost or free public transport options locally and regionally.
  2. Increase availability of medical and emergency care in the Horowhenua around the clock.
  3. Develop more recreation activities for all ages, all weathers, that are free or low cost.
